RED HOT and UNSIGNED - HUNTER HUNTED had been playing a month-long residency presented by KROQ at the Bootleg Theater in Los Angeles before heading east. They sold out the Mercury Lounge as a headliner last night, and now have a pair of dates with Family of the Year before embarking on a high profile series of shows with the incredible Fitz and the Tantrums.
Hunter Hunted is Dan Chang and Michael Garner. The Los Angeles duo weave intricate vocal harmonies and heart beat rhythms into voluminous, soaring songs that toe the line between California indie and folk rock.
