Jack Davey, eclectic frontwoman of indie rock/hip-hop duo J*DaVeY, is about to release her own collection of songs: L0-F! D’Lux. As it ends up this is one of the best blues-rock records I've heard this year - and certainly one of the best fuzz-guitar records so far this decade. The bluesy-elements of the album are folded in nicely with indie dissonance (is that the Breeders I hear stirred into Mr. Airplane Man??) and the results are pretty amazing. We love guitar chicks - and this is clearly a sound you need to know!
