Brown Shoe
CALIFORNIA SUN: We are very excited about Jackalope (on Organic), the cool new record from West-Coaster shoegazers BROWN SHOE. The band makes an appearance in Cambridge tonight playing at All Asia and we definitely like what the crowds there will be hearing...
WHO IS BROWN SHOE? Brown Shoe’s release of “The Wheat Patch” in 2006 won the hearts of fans and earned them rave reviews from critics. Along came some big-time college radio airplay and charting on CMJ. Their musical style (described as everything from avante garde to shoegaze) has drawn some pretty favorable comparisons to Sigur Ros, My Morning Jacket, Doves, and Red House Painters. Over the last couple of years, Brown Shoe has performed at festivals and clubs across the entire United States.

THE FUTURE IS NOW: The release of Brown Shoe's “Vanity” in June 2007 attracted even more press, placements on MTV and radio play on over 300 stations. By the time “Vanity” was finished a handful of new songs had begun to take shape as the foundation for what would eventually become Brown Shoe’s latest record, “Jackalope”, recorded between January and April of 2008. The band is touring behind that remarkable new material now. And appearing tonight in Cambrige, this top notch touring band appears in a CNC Music Productions lineup over at All Asia.
This one's a pretty safe bet for your entertainment dollar folks!
