The Pierces are two sister-sirens with remarkable, beautiful voices. Their songs are uplifting, haunting, enchanting and enticing. What isn't clear is whether they are singing on stage or a figment of a feverish mind. Definitely worth catching on tour this year!
Tim Williams is an RSL favorite musician - you've heard me talking about him before (*interview!) and he performed at one of my shows in Boston. Tim released a wicked album last year - "When Work is Done" (Dovecote Records) made my '07 Year End List. If that's not enough, just know Tim's an original in a time when modern folk and rock songwriters are beginning to sound pretty much homogenized. His heroes are blue collar warriors, people who care, lost souls and romantics. How can you go wrong? Highly Recommended.
