The Importance of Being Wolf - The Growing Influence of Krug and Boeckner's WOLF PARADE
The Wolf Parade Legacy continues to grow and grow. At the center of one of the branches of Canadian Indie Rock's family tree, Wolf Parade can even trace its origins to another famous band from the north: the band's first ever formal show was a 2003 gig opening up for Arcade Fire. (Talk about fate, eh?) By the end of 2005, the band released "Apologies to the Queen Mary" - an LP that has proven to be one of the most influential independent rock albums of the last three years. A new album in the works, could reportedly be released before the end of the year!

After opening up for Arcade Fire in 2003, the band's fame quickly grew. Within a year they had been signed to Sub-Pop by Modest Mouse frontman Isaac Brock.
